The addax lives in groups of around ten individuals made up of males, females and young. It is the antelope best adapted to desert environments, its large hooves enabling it to walk on hot sand.
The Addax eats grasses, leaves and fruit. It lives for 15 to 20 years in the wild. This animal disappeared from Morocco in 1956 due to poaching. It is a critically endangered species.

The dorcas gazelle : one of the smallest gazelles in existence, it lives mainly in the deserts of northern Africa, where it lives for 10 to 12 years in the wild, and both sexes have horns.
It is threatened with extinction because of hunting by poachers, it has excellent eyesight, it can change direction without any difficulty and its speed can reach up to 70 kph, especially when it feels in danger.

The Oryx algazelle is an antelope that lives in herds of several dozen individuals, well adapted to life in the desert, vegetarian, it feeds on both grass and fruit. Its long horns are straight and ringed, its ears and eyes quite small. There is a slight hump on its back.

Horn length : 100 to 125 cm (horns curved back and ringed).
The North African ostrich , or red-necked ostrich, is the fastest land bird with a top speed of 70 km/h, and is also the largest currently living. Unable to fly, the females each lay between 2 and 11 eggs, each weighing more than a kilo. It feeds mainly on plant matter, but can also capture insects and small vertebrates.
